Have you ever been on a physical diet? I’m sure we all have, from time to time. I know I always start a diet every January once the yummy holiday season is over! 😉
I was reading an article the other day which stressed the importance of a mental diet over a physical diet. After all, the mental is what motivates and drives the physical.
A mental diet can be anything you do to help increase your overall happiness and joy. For example, you could eliminate watching the nightly news, or stop following people that tweet negative articles (like the news). I am a sucker for true crime reality shows (Forensic Files is a real favorite), but perhaps taking a break from that and watching more romantic comedies would be better for my brain and therefore my life.
What do you think? Are there any tips and tricks you can think of for a mental diet? I’m curious to hear your thoughts!
