Frustration is part of the process.
At least that’s what I keep telling myself. The last two days have really kicked my a**. I’m mapping out my novel and trying a different approach – to do a detailed outline, chapter by chapter of all major plot points, events, characters and more. That way, I can write as I go – and never get sidetrack or distracted from the story I am trying to tell. If feels like this could be a streamlined way of focusing my mental energy (once I get the hang of it).
The only problem? As I am doing this, it’s draining all my mental energy! LOL.
I wish every day could simply be a magical “sparks fly” kind of day, but the past two have been very tedious – sort of like the literary equivalent of doing your taxes. Thankfully, I think by the end of the workday today, I’ll be ready to go and start writing the fun stuff tomorrow!
How about you? What tricks and tips do you use to power through the frustration so you can get to the fun stuff? I’d love to hear!
Today is Day Eighteen.
PS: Don’t you just love the feel of a book? Me too! Which is why I am so excited to announce that the paperback edition of “The Successful Musician Mindset” was released today! For more information, visit Amazon.
